Quality Assurance

The majority of MCS products consist of Build up H and Build up Box, which are essentially steel plates that have been cut and bored at the right places and then welded together. For this reason, the company needs to use Ultrasonic Testing, or UT, far more than other factories which produce simple steel structures.

We have 11 measuring staff, two paint quality test staff and 12 Ultrasonic Test staff. Each UT staff member is certified by the Certification Welding Institute of Thailand. Using 11 Ultrasonic Test Machines, our staff can test over 10,000 meters of steel a month.

Pre-Assembly

The Preassembly Areas are 40 meters wide and 200 meters long and 55 meters wide and 200 meters long for assembling big steel structures of the kind used in power plants, bridges and terminals. The stock yard has two cranes, one with a capacity of between 30, 40 and 50 tons which is 16 meters tall.

The preassembly area is used for finished products as well. Each product is separately arranged according to its project and in order of production code, thus allowing for easy and convenient transportation and inspection of such products. There are four stockyards encompassing an area of 40,000 square meters.

Shotblasting/Painting

In a designated space of 3,000 sq.m. together with crane lifting capacity of 25 tons and a shotblasting 2m x 3m machine, M.C.S. can handle shotblasting and painting continuously.

Transportation/Stock

Work that is approved by the client will, if requested, be painted by the dealer. After painting, the dealer checks the thickness of the paint and records details in the relevant document before handing on both documentation and product to the transportation department. When all this is completed, the products will be transferred to the harbor by the transportation company to await export. All of the products have barcodes. Most of our products are sent to Japan. For products that require containerization, the transportation department again arranges products by checking their codes against the export documentation.

All works are tied together, with lumber in between, in order to prevent damage. Responsibility throughout the transportation process lies with MCS Steel and, once the product reaches its destination, our staff at MCS -Japan will conduct a thorough check to ensure that no damage has occurred.

If any damage is found, it will be remedied before final delivery to the client. If any repair is required, the product will be sent to our affiliated fabricator in Japan.
